Snoozing and Treats...

... treats and snoozing. We have been snoozing on this blog and we apologize as life has been hectic over the past five weeks, but now we are back to a normal schedule and documenting the entertaining antics of Rugby!

Two BIG things to cover:
1) BIG news that we discovered today
2) Rugby is getting BIG

1) Mike, Rugby and I have been enjoying this lazy holiday and saw that the Westminster Dog Show was being re-broadcast on CNBC. I had my camera ready as Rugby was watching the TV and the Bulldog in the non-sporting group was about to make his way to the judge. As I was snapping pictures, they announced the dogs name "Ultimate Caleb", who is Rugby's DAD! Mike and I both freaked out and it truly was an awesome moment (documented here)

2. In just seven weeks of having Rugby, he has gained 17 lbs! He is a big boy and will continue to get bigger. We are cherishing the moments of still being able to pick him up and know that there will soon be a time where picking up is not an option. The next set of pictures explains this craziness:

A Dog and His Tree

When we brought Rugby home, he immediately fell in love with our Christmas Tree:

And loved the tree skirt to snuggle on...

The sweetest thing about this story? Once we took the tree down, he continued to look and sniff for it. He will be happy to see it again in 11 months!

There's No Place Like Home for Rugby

Yesterday we introduced Rugby to his new home and I don't think it could have gone better! Rugby immediately scoped out his living quarters and was quickly comfy in his crate. The breeder mentioned that he might be a little mellow and not eat immediately due to all the activity, not-so-much with the Rug-A-Muffin. He has been extremely playful and has been gulping down his meals. In addition, he is such a cuddle bug! The best part of our first day together? He cried for about five minutes at 5am and that was it, makes us feel like we did everything the right way!

This little guy has already changed our lives and we are so excited for all of our Rugby adventures and hope you are all ready for the ride!

Bulldogs and their Vivacious Energy... or not.

Please enjoy this fantastic video of Teddy and the wake-up ritual that his owners have to go through... if you don’t chuckle then you are lame.
